About WAIWAI
日本語グループ WAIWAIは1993年に創設された、外国の方々の日本語学習を支援するボランティアグループです。 主な活動場所は飯田橋にある東京ボランティア市民活動センターで、クラスレッスンとプライベートレッスンを 組み合わせた授業で学習者のニーズに応えた地域日本語学習の場を提供していました。アフターコロナで、現在はレベル別のクラスレッスンは行っていませんが、クラススタイルで活動を続けています。土曜の午前中にレッスンを、レッスン後に学習者とボランティアでランチを楽しむこともあります。また、クラス活動以外では新年会や忘年会、花見やバーベキューなど学習者の協力も得ながら課外活動も行います。仕事やプラーベートでWAIWAIに参加できなくなった人たちと課外活動で再開できたり、再会がきっかけで再び輪が広がることもあります。WAIWAIに参加した方が、いつでも戻ってこられるような交流の場を、これからも大事にしていきたいと思います。
Japanese language group WAIWAI is a volunteer group supporting Japanese learning of foreign people founded in 1993. We provided a place for local Japanese language learning that met the needs of learners through a combination of class lessons and private lessons.
After COVID-19, we are no longer offering level-specific class lessons, but we continue to operate in a class style. Lessons are held on Saturday mornings, and after the lessons, learners and volunteers sometimes enjoy lunch. In addition to class activities, we also engage in extracurricular activities such as New Year's parties, year-end parties, cherry blossom viewing, and barbecues with the cooperation of our learners. We can meet up with people who could no longer join WAIWAI due to work or personal commitments through extracurricular activities, and these reunions can help expand our circle once again.We hope to continue to cherish this place of interaction, so that those who have participated in WAIWAI can return to at any time.
